The Apollo Theater is proud to boast an intimate second stage located at the basement level of the same address. Aptly named The Apollo Theater Studio, the new 50-seat space officially opened its doors on June 16, 2005 with the interactive comedy, Auditions Tonight. The Apollo Theater Studio, located just steps from the main stage,( in the space formerly occupied by the popular Act One Book Store), offers opportunities for smaller scale, in-house and rental productions, as well as space for classes and rehearsals. The Apollo Studio can offer black box intimacy while providing the Apollo’s professional, full-service, theater support in one of Chicago’s most popular neighborhoods.

The Apollo Theater Studio is a casual, flexible space, allowing either a theater-style or cabaret-style setting. Beverage service is available prior to, and even occasionally during, performances and a piano is available for cabaret artists and small-cast musicals.

Competitive Daily, Weekly, Daytime, off-night and late night rental packages are available and include the following;
