Menopause The Musical® brings together four women (Power Woman, Earth Mother, Soap Star and Iowa Housewife) at a Bloomingdale’s lingerie sale, who have nothing in common but a black lace bra and hot flashes, night sweats, memory loss, chocolate binges, not enough sex, too much sex, plastic surgery and more! Menopause The Musical® joyfully and hilariously parodies 25 of the top “baby boomer“ songs of the ‘60s, ‘70s and 80’s including such chart-toppers as “I Heard It Thru the Grapevine“ (“You No Longer See 39“) and the disco favorite “Stayin‘ Alive“ (“Stayin‘ Awake! Stayin‘ Awake!“), to name a few.

Menopause The Musical®, currently playing in 15 U.S. cities, including its newest city – Las Vegas, in two foreign countries and on a coast-to-coast US tour, has become a women’s movement that celebrates life over 40 -- and a production phenomenon in its own right.

Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, writer/producer Jeanie Linders created Menopause The Musical® as a celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived The Change. Since its first performance, the show has evolved as a "grass-roots"-movement of women who deal with life after 40 and all the challenges that result in the mental, physical and spiritual freedom of the post WWII baby boomer generation.

Menopause The Musical® has evolved into to a women's movement that targets the interests, needs, and sensibilities of women over 40 through a free magazine, an art show – the visual celebration of women over 40, and a nonprofit charity, the Entertainment To Empowerment Foundation, which is underwritten by sales from the show's product and souvenir line.

The show’s production company, TOC Productions, Inc., has offices in Winter Park, Fla., Chicago and Los Angeles. The Chicago production is directed by Kathryn Conte, choreographed by Patty Bender and musically directed by Alan Plado, with musical and vocal arrangements by C.T. Hollis. The show is performed with a live three-piece band.

Menopause The Musical® is playing at The Apollo Theater, 2540 N. Lincoln Avenue. Tickets are $46.50 at all performances and can be purchased at the box office, by calling the box office at 773/935-6100, at all Ticketmaster locations and by calling Ticketmaster at 312/902-1500.
